SHOCKING footage shows the moment a woman smashed the windows of a HSBC branch in Glasgow.
Cops were called to the bank on the city's Buchanan Street at around 7:30pm last night following the incident.
A video from the scene shows a woman in a high-vis vest smashing windows at the bank with what appears to be a hammer.
The woman is filmed as she strikes the windows several times, causing the glass to crack.
She is then seen turning the corner onto Argyle Street where she continues to smash the windows further.
HSBC confirmed the branch is closed while repair work is carried out.
They also told how staff have been stationed outside the branch in order to help customers as much as possible while it is closed.
A spokesperson added: "We are hoping that we will be able to re-open the branch tomorrow.
"In the meantime, our branch colleagues are outside the branch helping customers as much as they can, plus also explaining the day-to-day banking that can be carried out at the local post office in terms of deposits into and withdrawals out of their accounts."
Cops confirmed a woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
